Do we really wash our hands well enough?

Having seen many children (and adults) pretend to wash their hands by putting them under cold water, not using soap and then drying on a soggy towel, I think the answer is probably a resounding “no”. The World Health Organisation has a poster that demonstrates only too well where the issues are likely to be in relation to a total process for effective hand washing.

How many loos do you go to where the water is constantly cold or there is no soap with which to wash your hands. How many have driers that blow as much hot air as I do when I am snoring?

Do we care? What would you like to see done differently? What are your top tips for effective handwashing techniques?
